Visiting Therapists

Louise Halsall  – Registered Osteopath

louise-osteopath-editedLouise is a fully qualified Osteopath registered with GOsC (General Osteopathic Council) offering a range of hours at the Holistic Hands Wellbeing Centre.

Osteopathy can be used to treat a wide range of medical conditions and injuries from work, recreation and sports related activities.  Treatments are tailored to the specific needs of the patient and can be used to treat young and old, pregnant women and sports people.

Osteopaths work with the structure and function of the body, working with the principle that your well-being depends on the smooth functioning of all joints and soft tissues. This means that during your treatment Louise will use touch, physical manipulation, stretching and massage to improve joint mobility, relieve muscle tension and help your body’s own healing mechanisms. The personalised nature of the treatment means that patients will often be given additional advice on posture and exercise to help aid recovery and prevent symptoms recurring.
Osteopathy has been used to successfully treat a range of conditions including recurrent back, neck and shoulder pain. It can also be used to treat muscular skeletal misalignment due to your posture, muscle tension, sciatica and rheumatic pain. Osteopaths are primary medical healthcare professionals with extensive anatomical and physiological training.

Please call reception on 01480 869404 for more information and to schedule an appointment with Louise.

Semi Permanent Make Up

Semi-permanent make-up, also known as micropigmentation, is a form of temporary cosmetic tattooing which allows you to have long-lasting eyeliner and lip colour as well as being able to shape and contour your eyebrows, or add a beauty spot.

The procedure involves tiny particles of pigment being placed beneath the surface of the skin. This pigment will stay in the skin for a number of years, gradually breaking down and fading with time, although the longevity of the results will depend on your age and skin type.

Maintenance and colour boost treatments should be carried out each year – 2 years.

Fat Freezing

Also known as Cryolipolysis, this is an noninvasive treatment.
This treatment is designed for someone who has a stubborn area of fat , such as hips , tummy, inner and outer thighs, areas of the back and arms.

Fat freezing lowers the temperature of the fat cells to a point where the cells enter an apoptotic death sequence (cell suicide).  After the treatment the bodies lymphatic system takes the die fat cell away as waste.

If the aftercare is followed then you can get up to 25% reduction of fat in the treated area.

2 Areas: £79
3 Areas: £110

Rebecca Summerfieldrebecca
Bowen Therapist

Rebecca is with us every Tuesday 1pm – 8pm.

The Bowen Technique is a soft tissue remedial therapy.
The technique involves the therapist using fingers or thumbs to move over muscle, ligament, tendon or fascia in various parts of the body with frequent pauses throughout the session.  These pauses allow the body time to respond to the work and begin the process of change.  The work is very subtle, relaxing and gentle, involving no hard or prolonged pressure.

Therapy sessions are very gentle and non-invasive.

Treatment may help alleviate the pain and stress associated with many conditions such as back pain, sciatica, neck pain, shoulder problems, leg and hip problems, headaches, migraines and sinus problems, neck problems, digestive problems, emotional problems, fatigue, frozen shoulder, stress and many other conditions.
