Louise Halsall  – Registered Osteopath

louise-osteopath-editedLouise is a fully qualified Osteopath registered with GOsC (General Osteopathic Council) offering a range of hours at the Holistic Hands Wellbeing Centre.

Osteopathy can be used to treat a wide range of medical conditions and injuries from work, recreation and sports related activities.  Treatments are tailored to the specific needs of the patient and can be used to treat young and old, pregnant women and sports people.

Osteopaths work with the structure and function of the body, working with the principle that your well-being depends on the smooth functioning of all joints and soft tissues. This means that during your treatment Louise will use touch, physical manipulation, stretching and massage to improve joint mobility, relieve muscle tension and help your body’s own healing mechanisms. The personalised nature of the treatment means that patients will often be given additional advice on posture and exercise to help aid recovery and prevent symptoms recurring.
Osteopathy has been used to successfully treat a range of conditions including recurrent back, neck and shoulder pain. It can also be used to treat muscular skeletal misalignment due to your posture, muscle tension, sciatica and rheumatic pain. Osteopaths are primary medical healthcare professionals with extensive anatomical and physiological training.

image2As a Fellow of the
I.A.E.B.P (International Association of Evidence Based Psychotherapy) Matthew is a Psychotherapist and Hypnotherapist and is able to offer help for many psychological, emotional and habitual problems.   Clinical Hypnosis is a form of therapy that uses the power of positive suggestion to tackle simple problems such as nail biting, smoking cessation as well as other isolated occasions like exam nerves, driving tests and public speaking , for example speaking in a work environment etc.  Usually suggestion therapy requires only a small number of sessions which often combine visualization, relaxation and positive suggestions. Therapy using suggestion (or Clinical Hypnotherapy as it is often called) is an excellent way of controlling your problem or even removing the effects of your symptom for good in many cases.
